Single Blended Rum

Made predominantly in countries that were colonised by the British, Single Blended Rums are blends that have been distilled in both pot and traditional column stills used for making rum. The two types of rums are then blended at a Single distillery.

Crafted on the Appleton Estate in the Nassau Valley, Jamaica, this genuine 8-year-old rum is latest Jamaican masterpiece to the Appleton family. Since 1749, Appleton has been crafting premium rums and this “Single Estate” aged Jamaica rum, takes inspiration from the vibrancy of Jamaica, its land and the joyful nature of its people. Crafted by Master Blender Joy Spence to commemorate Appleton Estate's 250th.

Serving Suggestions: Ideal for sipping neat or in a cocktail - the balanced and versatile profile of the 8-Year-Old Reserve offers the perfect foundations for any classic mixer, but particularly mixes well in a classic Mai Tai cocktail, using orange liqueur, orgeat, simple syrup, fresh lime juice and plenty of ice.

Tasting Notes

The nose opens up to tropical fruits, caramel, wood and subtle orange peel. There is also a touch of mild funky aroma with ripe banana, vanilla and a hint of red fruit. The palate amplifies that fruit, opening with dried cherry, caramelized pineapple and vanilla, drifting into a drying finish laced with nutmeg, clove and dried coconut.
